The book bags are a looser (and more accessible/useful) take on an idea originated by Olympia Le-Tan, maybe combined with a classic canvas bookstore-branded bag. Clever.
what do you make of the pant silhouettes coming out of dior and willy chavarria? it at first made me think that a roomier, baggier look is coming up next. then i watched celine (another debut ive been waiting for) and it was sooo skinny! like almost leggings again.
I've fully embraced baggier silhouettes for a few years now and I don't think I can do skinny again. It just doesn't work with my juicy calves. But again, in terms of the trend cycle we're about to go from Y2K nostalgia straight into indie sleaze nostalgia. I think the resurgence in Bon Iver and Hozier as well as a newfound love for Phoenix courtesy of Romy Mars are huge indicators. That is to say, we'll be seeing plenty of skinnies in the next few years whether we like it or not.
