Welcome to A_Concept Store
I’ve always loved shopping in concept stores instead of digging through a million online sites. When it’s tightly curated with a strong point of view, not only are you guaranteed to find what you love, you also discover new things that you didn’t know you wanted. My favorite, naturally, is Dover Street Market where you’re invited into Rei Kawakubo’s world — not just Comme des Garçons. Concept stores aren’t about a brand, it’s a mood, even it’s not really the mood I’ve found in the newsletters, until now. Welcome to A_Concept Store, a highly edited, visually pleasing take on shopping like its name implies.
A_Concept Store is a refuge in a world filled with Amazon dupes, fast fashion hauls, and trend chasing. If you find people squealing “Oh my god it’s soooooo cuuuuuutteeee” over a Western belt worn over a crochet dress as unappealing as I do, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll never see the words boho, festival fashion, or anything -core. Instead, it’s what I find to chic (sorry I know the word is cliche, but it’s apt), minimalist-ish with an avant-garde flair. These aren’t crappy fast fashion pieces you’ll discard the second the style gets old. I love the good stuff, what’s meant to be worn for years to come. It’s not just how I dress and shop — this is the same advice I’ve doled out as a fashion editor and stylist.
Expect twice-a-week dispatches in your inbox on fashion with a sprinkling of beauty, design, and travel. Yes, there will be links to buy but I hope you’ll also discover something new to love.
